Notes: Chuck is doing great in his new foster home that does not have any young children, he seems to get startled easily when kids are running around because he is deaf. He is now with a female boxer, a male chi and 5 cats and gets along with all great. He is continuing to learn hand commands. He sleeps in his bed at night next to his foster mom and is crated during the day while she is at work. He doesn't seem to be interested in toys or chewing at all. He has just started playing with the foster boxer and chi in the back yard. All of his other senses are very sharp. He loves people and will climb right in your lap and lick you. He is a very sweet boy. 7/26/12 update - Chuck is doing well in his foster home with two boxer buddies and two young children. He is beginning to follow basic hand signals for "no" and "come" and is doing well on the leash. We are working on his house training "skills" and he is improving each day, with the help of lots of treats! His favorite place is anywhere we are and he won't stray far from sight. He loves to bark at moving objects outside on the porch, so we are working on teaching him commands to control his barking when neighbors are passing by. He is a very sweet boy who simply loves to give kisses all the time! Hey everyone! My name is Chuck and I'm ready to get started on my new life. I've been kept outside almost my entire life so far and I've had very little human contact. I'm also deaf and because I can't hear you when you talk to me, I need someone who is going to take the time to give me tons of love and affection so I can learn what it's like to be a real dog. I'm super smart and learned one hand single in like 10 minutes, so I would love for someone to teach me more...like sit and no and down. I am an eager learner and you'll be super impressed with me! I have just started on my heartworm treatments. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application today!
